It is with deep sadness that I have to announce Bearclaw is suspending all future Fasach Ile courses until further notice.
The reasons for this is numerious but rest assured we are actively seeking a new location with more skillful local guides to assist us with a view of making the NEW Fasach Ile course even more exciting, far ranging, educational but above MORE FUN!
At a time like this ol' Bearclaw says,
English proverb "A smooth sea never made a skilful mariner."
Sir Winston Churchill "The French cannot forgive us because they owe us so much"

Bearclaw Bushcraft and Wilderness living. Est 2003 - 5 years of Bushcraft Education and excellence!!
Born and living in Essex I become interested in Bushcraft long before it was even called Bushcraft!!
Joining the Army from school I was lucky enough to do one of the last All Arms military E&E exercises - Exercise Ludwigs Lair.
This is where I was bitten by the bug - from there I did many more Survival and E&E courses before leaving the Army after 15 years service.
Upon leaving the forces I treated myself to a Ray Mears fundamental course and amazed at the differences and similarities between survival skills and bushcraft skills I saved up for two years to do a second course with woodlore - the time and effort paid off.
Having gotten a distinction on my courses Woodlore asked me to join their team and for 3 years I worked with Ray, Ben and Juha - Happy days in did.
Eventually, learning new skills and wanting to teach things in my own unique way I left Woodlore and set up Bearclaw Bushcraft.
Bearclaw is now in its fifth year and our courses both in UK and Sweden have proven very popular and sucessful!!
